Position: Accountant IIILocation: Miami, OK, 74354 Duration: 3 Months Job Type: Contract Work Type: OnsiteShift: Monday to Friday - 08:00 AM to 05:00 PMPay Rate: $34-$34/hr.

ResponsibilitiesPerform monthly closing activities including journal entries, accruals, reporting, and analysis.Reconcile balance sheet accounts and recommend necessary adjustmentsEnsure compliance with U.S. GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, company policy, approval authority matrix, and standard operating procedureSupport internal and external audit requirementsExercise sound data stewardship - following data policies (retention, privacy, security) and detailing proceduresDrive continuous improvement and use systems to increase controls and efficienciesEnsure effective data security and controls within ERP, financial systems, and data flowsOther ad hoc requests as necessaryEducation & ExperienceAn undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting (required)Prior experience in a high-volume accounting environment (AR & AP emphasis a plus) within a matrixed organization.Working knowledge of ERPs requiredExperience with Oracle R12 preferredKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesProficient in Microsoft Excel (required)Excellent understanding of financial accounting standards and internal controlsExcellent attention to detail, as accuracy is required in performing all aspects of the roleHighly motivated individual with excellent communication, computer, and organization skillsProficient verbal and written communication skills
