📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
We're looking for a dynamic Structural Engineer to join our client's Construction Engineering Services team. In this role, you'll be part of a growing team that supports the entire construction process, from innovative design engineering to ensuring the safety of our construction crews.
As a Structural Engineer, your responsibilities will include:Designing and managing tasks such as bridge erection, cofferdam design, critical crane lifts, and more.Evaluating existing structures for construction loads and demolition planning.Conducting structural analysis to ensure stability during temporary conditions.Reviewing calculations and design drawings to meet industry standards.Identifying design risks and assisting with risk mitigation planning.Collaborating with Project Management and Estimators on budgets, schedules, and quality control.Providing on-site design engineering support and mentoring junior engineers.
This is a full-time position based in our Plantsville office in Connecticut. Remote work is not available.
Key qualifications include:Experience in temporary structures or construction engineering.A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering is preferred.5-10 years of relevant engineering experience.Professional Engineer licensure (PE) or eligibility within the United States.Proficiency in engineering design software like AutoCAD, BlueBeam, and Civil 3D.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment.Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple project assignments.Capability to access all points of a construction site in various climates and environments.
