Serves as a Clinical Teaching Assistant to faculty in the Texas A&M University School of Nursing. Works under the supervision of a Master’s or Doctorally prepared nursing faculty member primarily in the clinical setting. Assists nursing faculty with the supervision of students during clinical learning experiences.

Schedule: This is a part-time position.
Salary: Compensation will be commensurate to selected hire’s experience.

Required Education
Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Required Experience
At least one year experience working as a Registered Nurse in an acute care/hospital setting.
Required Licenses and Certifications
Current license as a Registered Nurse in Texas.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Clinical expertise to function effectively and safely in the designated area of teaching. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with other. Ability to perform all tasks and job responsibilities safely without injury to self and others in compliance with A&M System and HSC guidelines.
Preferred Education
Master of Science in Nursing.
Preferred Experience
Three years of experience as Registered Nurse.
Responsibilities
Supervision of Students: Functions in the role of clinical supervisor. Assisting faculty with the supervision of students’ skills performance, student evaluation, and other aspects of student learning in the clinical setting.Clinical Setting: Consults with a nursing faculty member in clinical settings. Occasional classroom assistance may be requested for activities. Performs other duties as assigned.
