Fast-paced, high-volume clinic is looking for top skilled Appointment Scheduling Specialist
Work location: 1105 Central Expressway North, Suite 120, Allen, TX 75013
Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Travel: 25% to surrounding clinics as needed (mileage reimbursement provided)

Here’s What You Need
High School Diploma or equivalent (required)2 years related experience in Healthcare environment (preferred) Requires strong customer skillsGood communication skillsPossess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalismA team player who handles multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
What You Will Do
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Appointment Scheduling Specialist ProcessSchedules all inpatient and outpatient surgery and medical procedures, tests, and studies by the physician.Responsible for answering phone calls and scheduling patient appointments, conducting patient pre-certification to ensure coverage for appointments and medical care, scheduling tests, procedures, and referral appointments.Communicates with patients regarding appointments and instructions for procedures and tests and may collect fees such as co-pays / co-insurance, gathers insurance information and patient personal data.Demonstrates positive professional customer service in all patients, staff, and visitor contacts, and performs other duties as assigned.Escalates non-routine issues, questions and/or concerns to the practice manager or healthcare provider(s).Able to work in fast-paced environment, multitasking and strongly believe in ‘team work’.Performs other duties as assigned.
