📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
The Systems Engineer will be responsible for Teza’s Linux systems and storage infrastructure. You will work closely with developers, trading operations and other business units to ensure the smooth functioning of all systems and applications. Our Systems Engineer will be a key participant in the design and deployment of future infrastructure initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Manage and monitor Teza’s Linux server and storage infrastructureTroubleshoot all production Linux systems and storage related incidentsAutomate operational processesCollaborate with other infrastructure team members, developers, traders, middle and back office support, compliance and managementDevelop and maintain systems that adhere to compliance regulations and security best practices and standardsDevelop and maintain documentation of systems configurations and proceduresParticipate in on-call support rotation in a 24 x 7 environmentProvide day to day technical support and guidance to end-usersImplement infrastructure changes during scheduled maintenance windows
Basic Requirements
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field5+ years of relevant Linux systems engineering experienceExtensive experience with RHEL and Debian based Linux distributionsStrong understanding of TCP and UDP network protocolsProficiency in scripting languages such as Python or BashExtensive knowledge of Linux filesystems and storage systems as well as file sharing protocols such as NFS and CIFSExtensive experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Salt or TerraformExperience with virtualization platforms, preferably VMWareExperience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and KubernetesExperience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google CloudExcellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills

Compensation
The anticipated salary for this role lies between $100,000 and $200,000.
When finalizing the total compensation package, we take into the account previous experience and skills the candidate brings to the position.
