We are actively seeking an accomplished professional, a Cloud data platforms and Data & Analytics evangelist, to assume the role of Senior Director – Head of Commercial Data Platforms, focusing on Commercial Global Data Platforms and Analytics.

As a Senior Director, your key responsibilities include: Data Strategy, Data Engineering, Cloud Data Platforms, Master Data Management, and Data Management.

Stakeholder ManagementBecome a trusted advisor and partner closely with executive-level leaders across Commercial, Digital/Data Technology, Enterprise, and regional technology leaders to advise and provide end-to-end solutions to business problems and opportunities using modern architecture practices.

Strategy DevelopmentSet the technology & data strategy and roadmap to ensure an organization’s IT Strategy is defined and aligned with its business objectives, goals, and data-driven organization. Ensure the alignment of the Commercial Application, platform, and data strategy to the broader organization’s mission, strategy/objectives, capabilities, and processes using industry-recognized well-architecture patterns.

ArchitectureProvide thought leadership in solution architecture, peer reviews, and architecture governance forums to push the thinking on cloud utilization and cost optimization opportunities. Ensure that architecture decisions provide business value and optimize total cost of ownership.Design Cloud-native & hybrid systems and other SaaS providers including compute, storage, monitoring, security, Disaster-Recovery, Retention, and all other non-functional requirements.Design, Implement and maintain Data platforms and Compute services using Databricks, Azure Functions, Service Bus, Container Apps, and SPARK computing, etc., that are scalable and optimized for cost.

Data Platforms - Delivery LeadershipLead and manage end-to-end cloud-native data platform/data lakehouse solutions, providing data and capabilities that are scalable for Data Products & AI/ML Solutions for the organization and ensuring the architecture is optimized to meet the requirements and needs of the business.Partner with Data Science leadership and support GENAI/ML data products by providing scalable cognitive AI platforms, ML Ops services, and data platforms.Define and oversee the development of AI and GenAI infrastructure, including hardware, software, and data management systems.Lead and manage master data management platforms and services.

Data Management StewardshipWork with the Enterprise on standards, tooling, and production of ongoing Information Architecture assets such as Data Lineage, Lifecycle Management, Quality Monitoring, and Metadata Management.Steward and promote a Data Management framework, standards, tools, and capabilities that enable data management, security, privacy, retention, and regulatory requirements. Enable self-serve and facilitate the adherence across stakeholders and regional data stewards.Manage Master Data Management capabilities and provide best practices in Master Data Management across the Commercial.

Management & LeadershipStay current with Cloud, Data Platforms, AI, and GenAI deployment trends, emerging technologies, and industry benchmarks.Build & lead a team of talented professionals and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop, implement, and optimize Data, AI, and GenAI architecture strategies that drive innovation, efficiency, and competitive advantage.Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance and support in their career growth.

Why You?Basic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in computer science with 10+ years of professional experience in Azure Cloud Solution Architecture, Data Engineering, and data architecture.Experience in architecting and designing technical solutions for cloud-centric service, hosting solutions based on industry standards using IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS capabilities.Must have designed the E2E architecture of a unified data platform covering all aspects of the data lifecycle from Data Ingestion, Transformation, Serve, and consumption.Experience in Databricks workspaces, Databricks notebooks, Job clusters, Delta Lake, Databricks Lakehouse, and Unity catalog.Experience with Azure Services and Data components: Container-based solutions, Microservices, Streaming Solutions, Python & Spark Compute, Spark SQL, Azure Integration services, and ingestion tools such as ADF, Snowflake, ADL, and GenAI Cognitive capabilities.Background on implementing DevOps and MLOps pipelines.Experience in Cloud Cost management and implementing best practices.Experience leading architecture, data engineering, data management, and Cloud operations/Platform teams.Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) platforms such as Reltio or relevant MDM capabilities.
