Retail Team Lead - The Apothecarium (SoMa)

Team Leaders assist to manage our team and provide effective guidance. Team Leaders are responsible for supervising, managing and motivating team members on a daily basis. This position is reserved for passionate team members with a focus on long term growth and development within the cannabis industry and our exemplary organization. Team Leaders act as the contact point for all team members. This role requires nothing less than excellent customer service and superb communication skills, the Team Lead interacts with patients and staff in a positive, respectful manner. Team Leaders are expected to act proactively to ensure smooth team operations and effective collaboration. Ultimately, the Team Leaders lead by example and engage the team to achieve goals.

Rate of Pay - $25.00 to $29.00 an hour based on experience.

Basic Qualifications

Experience working in Retail Management (1-year minimum) Experience working in Customer Service (3-5 years minimum)Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in professional and life experienceMust be authorized to live and work in the U.S.Must be able to pass a criminal background checkMust be at least 21 years oldMust speak/write English proficiently

Preferred Qualifications

Possess personal knowledge of medicinal effects of cannabis and cannabis productsExperience working in the medical cannabis industry highly desirableExperience working in medical services/health & wellness industry highly desirable

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Open and close the dispensary as neededAnswer phone calls, promptly return voicemails and emailField a wide range of questions online, over the phone, and in-person regarding cannabis law, changing regulations, and inventorySupervise the activities and productivity of the dispensaryAdmin the Zendesk support channels to assist customersManage and delegate duties and responsibilities to staff when in the MOD positionUphold inventory best practices with Retail Consultants and complete inventory processes as neededManage cash handling and registers on a daily basisProtect guest, staff and assets from injury damage, or theft through prevention and rapid responseCreate, maintain and enforce controls and procedures that are in 100% compliance with all applicable authorities and requirementsAct as a resource for team members: strain and product knowledgeSupport the collective’s strategic alliances and partnershipsEnsure the collective’s reputation and business does not suffer negatively in any mannerStay abreast of all cannabis industry specific legislation, actions and enforcementContribute to the construction and implementation company policyRepresent the collective at community functions and meetings always maintaining professionalism and respectAttend meetings as necessaryEnsure dispensary compliance with internal, local and state regulationsEnsure strict controls to protect dispensary assets at the direction of managementEngage to resolve escalated patient interactions and ensure patient concerns are solved efficiently, respectfully and promptlyMaintain a positive work environment conducive to trust and respectEnsure department equipment is functional and maintainedUse discretion with sensitive and confidential security and business informationMaintains strictest confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelinesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
