Schedule
1st shift part-time: Saturday to Sunday (start time between 6:00am - 8:00am; end time between 6:30pm - 8:30pm) 1st shift part-time: Saturday to Sunday (start time between 7:00am - 9:00am; end time between 7:30pm - 9:30pm) 2nd shift part-time: Saturday to Sunday (start time between 4:00pm - 6:00pm; end time between 12:30am - 2:30am) 3rd shift: Saturday to Tuesday (start time between 4:00pm - 6:00pm; end time between 2:30am - 4:30am)3rd shift: Monday to Friday (start time between 10:00pm - 12:00am; end time between 6:30am - 8:30am)
Shift Differentials
Extra $1.50/hr. after 7:00pm; extra $2.00/hr. on the weekend
Position Overview
Responsible for the transportation of blood and blood components from The Blood Connection to transfusion facilities. Responsible for delivery of raw materials from satellite centers and mobile collection sites. Good customer service skills are required in order to maintain necessary relationships with the transfusion facilities serviced by The Blood Connection.
Essential Functions
Driver Supported Tasks
Ensures that all orders are delivered in a timely mannerCoordinates and drives routes and pickups to ensure timely processing and deliveryAccurately completes all paperwork or electronic documentation as required
General Work Practices
Practices good customer service relations with co-workers, clients and the general publicMaintains a clean and orderly work areaDrives company vehicles in a safe mannerProduces accurate, precise, and legible documentation at each level of the manufacturing and distribution process
Miscellaneous
Other duties as assigned or required
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GEDPrior experience in a similar/related job preferredValid Driver’s License with no major infractions and dependable transportationAcceptable level of competence with standard operating protocols used in the department and throughout the blood center in generalGood knowledge of operating Smart devicesExcellent customer services skillsAbility to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructionsAbility to follow SOP in a heavily FDA regulated environmentAbility to communicate effectively, tactfully, and courteously to patrons, donors, sponsors, and co-workersAbility to work with all levels and in a diverse work environmentAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, and peers
