📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
We are looking for a Center Director passionate about working with young children to join our amazing team and lead our committed teachers. With a total of 10-13 classrooms and children ranging from 4 months to 1st grade our state-of-the-art facility will need a strong Center Director who can help with the introductory set up on the facility as well as continual care for our teachers and families. The center hours are from 7:30am to 6:30pm Monday through Friday and this is a 12-month program. As a Center Director, you will have the chance to inspire teachers, support and connect with children and their families, and be prepared for everyday challenges that will arise within the facility.
As a Center Director at The Brunswick School you will,Oversee the day-to-day operations of the center while demonstrating exceptional professional conduct and consideration for the educational development, safety and welfare of the children and staffFlexibility with opening/closing center responsibilities with the Director and other management personnel. Occasionally work beyond a traditionally work week (Some weeknight/weekend work will be required)Hire, train and supervise your teaching staffWork closely with families to ensure we are providing the highest quality care and education for every child; in addition to utilizing positive relationships to yield high retention rates Ensure that all Lead Teachers and Assistant Teachers are communicating all updates to parents/families via Tadpoles Demonstrate the ability to work independently in all matters concerning daily and weekly center evaluations, accident/incident reports and other requested reporting such as staff and children's records, lesson plans, and daily sheetsMaintain confidentiality in dealing with all company information including: policies, procedures, student, parent and staff records and conversationsMust attend and complete a minimum of 20 hours of ongoing Professional DevelopmentAchieve center enrollment goals by completing and processing potential lead forms, building community relationships and generating enrollment through participation in local organizations, events, and marketing (Some weeknights and weekends) Fully understand and ensure proper implementation of the curriculum by age group by partnering with the Director of Curriculum Oversee all tuition payment, invoicing, and reporting for familiesMust ensure compliance of all state and local educational and licensing requirements, policies, and proceduresConduct tours for prospective parents while adhering to policies and procedures.Ensure that all staff members are educated and following food and allergy procedures Conduct daily classroom observations Manage and process unenrollment request Upload and manage newsletter contentPrepare agenda for weekly meetings Conduct weekly inventory check in and purchase classroom items as neededCollaborate with the Director of Operations for all building needs (Repairs and/or Additions) Collaborate with Human Resources Department for employee relations, hiring and various projects
Center Director Qualifications:Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education5+ years of management/leadership experience in a childcare program, preschool, or elementary school with previous supervisory experience.Must meet state educational and licensing requirements for director; additional center/school requirements may apply and physical and background checks as required by the state and company regulations.Good coaching skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsHigh integrityHigh collaboration skillsSolution and detail-orientedSelf-starter with excellent time managementStrong business acumen and management abilitiesAbility to motivate and inspire othersAbility to handle multiple tasks or crisis situations effectivelyStrong leadership, supervisory and customer service skills and ability to create/maintain partnerships with families and staffPossess skills, attributes and characteristics conducive to and suitable for dealing with children, parents, coworkers, clients and managementComputer literacy, proficient in Microsoft OfficeMust submit a writing sample upon request
