We're seeking an experienced Appraiser and Graduate Gemologist to join their full-service Gemology Lab. This role requires expertise in appraisals and diamonds, managing loose gemstones, and offers opportunities for advancement within their professional lab environment. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct thorough appraisals and evaluations of Loose Diamonds, Gemstones, and finished Jewelry items within a dynamic manufacturing and repair environment. Proactively source diamonds and gemstones for manufacturing, custom orders, and repairs. Manage the sourcing, sorting, and inventory control of a substantial collection of loose diamonds and colored gemstones. Collaborate with department managers, the sales team, and select clients to coordinate operations effectively. Provide support and engage with diamond buyers and in-house manufacturing team. Willing to attain expertise in purchasing, sourcing, and evaluating diamonds within the industry. Participate in major trade shows as a valuable member of our buying, design, and sourcing team. QUALIFICATIONS Graduate Gemologist (GG) diploma from The Gemological Institute of America (GIA). Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in the sourcing and sorting of loose diamonds and colored gemstones. Minimum of 3 years' experience in appraising diamonds and jewelry, with a track record of consistently delivering high-quality appraisals. Prior experience in jewelry manufacturing and/or luxury jewelry is highly advantageous. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, delegate tasks, and collaborate within a team environment. Dedication to ongoing professional development through participation in workshops, seminars, and conferences. Preferred: National Association of Jewelry Appraisers (NAJA) Certified Member. WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT Location: Onsite Workdays Schedule: Scheduled workdays will fall Tuesday through Saturday Closed Sunday and Monday Work schedule will fall within core hours: 9:00am to 6:00pm COMPENSATION Salary range: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year, depending on experience (DOE).
