Role Overview:Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, the Center for Aquaculture Technologies is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to support financial accuracy and transparency in our operations. You will be integral to the finance team, focusing on month-end processes, variance analyses, audit support, and continuous improvement of our systems and controls.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:Execute timely month-end processes including journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.Prepare accurate month-end accruals and support account variance analysis.Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in compliance with company policies.Assist with annual audits and quarterly reviews in accordance with public company requirements.Identify and contribute to the improvement of systems, processes, and internal controls.Support purchasing, manage accounts payable/receivable, and work with sales to ensure timely collections.Monitor open purchase orders and liaise with requestors for updates as part of pre-close activities.
Qualifications We Value on Your Resume:Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.At least 2 years of relevant professional experience.Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.

Working Conditions:Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PMFull-time, on site (must have reliable transportation)
