Position Summary: As a credit manager, you will be responsible for evaluating the creditworthiness of potential customers, creating credit scoring models, approving and rejecting loans, negotiating payment terms, and updating the company’s credit policy.
What you’ll do:
Clear report to VP on a timely manner. Maintain the corporate credit policy. Recommend changes in the credit policy to the VP of Credit. Analyze credit risk, determine credit worthiness of potential customers and approve credit terms and limits for new street customers. Perform periodic credit reviews. Guide & educate sales team & customers. Skillful communication with sales team & customers. Deduction tracking & reconciliation. Lead the Accounts Receivable staff (East Coast or West Coast), including staff development, to ensure operational excellence is continually met. Maintain a department organizational structure sufficient to meet all goals and objectives. Provide for ongoing application training for the local credit staff/sales staff. Other duties as assigned.
About you
Position requires a minimum of five years of progressive responsibility in a high volume transaction environment. Good analytical and problem solving skills required. Have strong organizational, oral and written communications skills. Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to work effectively with cross functional teams at multiple locations. Self-starter with the ability to multi-task and effectively work under tight deadlines on a regular basis. Requires the ability to plan, prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively. Proficient computer skills: Microsoft Office products, as well as General Ledger systems, Business Objects, or other reporting tools, JD Edwards experience preferred. Degree in accounting, Finance, or related degree preferred, but not required. Some travel may be required.
