HQF - Multimedia Designer Paid Intern

This internship exists primarily as an educational opportunity for those working towards a career in the Instructional/Graphic Design fields. Flexible Schedule - Part Time - 28 Hours/Week

Compensation: $20/hr

Location: Remote Work and Joseph Smith Memorial Building, SLC, UT

Responsibilities

Meet rigid and challenging deadlines, work in harmony with other people, take direction on each assignment, and give full attention to detail. Independence in working, tact, and diplomacy are required.Solve design problems typically with small – medium projects.Support senior staff on more complex projects (sections of the work).Work under the supervision of more experienced designers on the major aspects of a project’s development and progress before work is submitted.Contribute with minimum supervision, conferring with senior leaders on unusual matters.Assist visual strategy for the Headquarters Facilities (HQF) department by maintaining a consistent look and feel that support HQF messages.Stay current on industry trends and related skills.All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Team player who can collaborate and complete tasks.Well-developed interpersonal and problem-solving skills.Self-motivated, organized, professional, able to handle multiple work assignments and meet deadlines.Strong computer skills including aptitude with Microsoft products and the ability to learn other software applications as needed.Experienced in industry standard programs (Adobe Create Suite) is beneficial but not required.Working knowledge of video editing capabilities (Adobe Premier Pro/Final Cut Pro, and After Effects) is beneficial but not required.To successfully perform the essential functions of the job there may be physical requirements which need to be met such as sitting for long periods of time and using computer monitors/equipment.
