Role DescriptionThe Executive Coach will provide executive coaching, executive management support, business coaching, and training services. The role will involve working closely with management-level clients and other employees to develop and implement coaching strategies, conducting coaching sessions, and providing guidance and support to help clients achieve their professional goals. The Executive Coach will provide various executive coaching, counseling, and development services.
Qualifications
Skill Enhancement and Leadership Development:Collaborate with management to refine existing skills and acquire new competencies necessary for leading successful departments, bureaus, or divisions.Implement tailored practices and assessments, such as Myers-Briggs, 360 evaluations, and interviewing/observation techniques, based on supervisory needs.
Coaching and Counseling Services:Provide coaching in key areas including:Transition to LeadershipCore Management and Leadership SkillsEffective Communication, and Executive PresenceDevelop program content covering performance expectation clarification, clear communication mastery, and handling difficult conversations, with program durations ranging from multiple training sessions per month to six-month programs.Deliver monthly or weekly written and oral reports to update government Departments on coaching progress.Document findings and interactions from each executive coaching session in a written report.Provide monthly status updates summarizing progress and key developments in the coaching program.Prepare detailed reports with corrective action recommendations as needed based on insights from coaching sessions.Offer necessary assessment tools to support coaching initiatives.Conduct confidential coaching sessions, which may involve individual appointments or group meetings involving three participants or entire departments, although departmental sessions occur infrequently.
Requirements:Possess expertise in executive coaching, counseling, and leadership development.Demonstrate a strong understanding of personnel management, compliance with local, State, and Federal laws, and labor relations services.Have experience in delivering coaching services to senior management personnel.Exhibit excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all coaching engagements.Provide flexibility in scheduling coaching sessions to accommodate senior management's availability.Master's degree in psychology, counseling, business, or related fieldHighly desirable: Possession of a valid Associate Certified Coach (ACC), Professional Certified Coach (PCC), or Master Certified Coach (MCC) credential issued by the International Coaching Federation (ICF).
