About the positionThe Everygirl is seeking a creative, adaptable, and exceptionally skilled fashion and beauty writer to become part of our editorial team. Collaborating closely with our Senior Fashion Editor to create compelling content that resonates with our audience. In this role, you’ll work with our Senior Fashion Editor to create compelling content that resonates with our audience. We're looking for someone with a keen awareness of fashion industry trends and brands, a knack for identifying emerging brands and product launches, and a thorough understanding of The Everygirl's fashion and beauty coverage.

ResponsibilitiesUpdate existing site content in accordance with SEO best practices and our current editorial guidelines.Generate a minimum of 5 articles weekly covering diverse fashion and beauty topics, ensuring each piece is informative, engaging, and tailored to audience interests. Topics include:Trends reportsStylingCelebrity styleOutfit ideasShopping roundupsProduct reviewsSales and seasonal collection launchesCreate SEO-friendly content optimized for online consumption and audience engagement.Collaborate with the editorial team to brainstorm ideas and ensure consistency in voice and brand.Stay updated on emerging fashion and beauty trends, innovations, and market developments.Manage backend updates for articles submitted by freelancers, maintaining quality standards and ensuring a smooth publication process for 3-5 articles weekly.

Qualifications & RequirementsMinimum of 2 years of experience writing fashion and beauty contentStrong communication and remote collaboration skillsProficiency in AP Style and adherence to style guidesExperience in digital media, writing, editing, or content creationDemonstrated ability in researching, pitching, testing, and writing about wellness topicsSolid knowledge of SEO principlesExcellent writing and grammar skillsAbility to pitch and turn around stories quickly is essentialAvailability during core hours, Monday-Thursday, 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. and Friday, 9:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. (CST)

PreferredBachelor's degree in journalism, communications, media, or a related field, or a demonstration of equivalent expertise through relevant work experience for positions in these fields.Proficiency in Google Workspace and Slack.Proficiency in Asana or similar project management platforms.Proficiency in Wordpress or similar content management platforms.
