Job Summary
The First Electronics Corporation (FEC) a Trexon company is hiring for a Cost Accountant at their Braintree, MA office. The First Electronics Corporation (FEC) specializes in the manufacture of over-molded, extra flexible, multi-conductor, fully EMI-shielded cable assemblies, harnesses and electro-mechanical assemblies custom built for military applications and harsh environments. This role will provide Operational and Accounting support to the Business Unit Controller at the First Electronics Corporation (FEC). The successful candidate will provide back-up support to the BU Controller and posess strong operational potential and an accounting background; Possess the ability to think on their own and take pride in being able to move the organization;Is motivated to learn manufacturing; A proven quick learner who perseveres on each assigned task. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, the ability to adapt to a rapidly evolving business landscape, and a keen understanding of the manufacturing industry.
Principal Responsibilities, Duties & Tasks
Monthly Close:Stock Status analysis and booking of entryAnalyze, prepare and challenge accounting reports including prepare reconcilations to Corporate:Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Invoices received but not vouchered, Fixed AssetsCash reconcilation and analysisReconcile and post AMEX expensesProcess payroll including all adjustments and work with HR on issuesRun month end reports at close on last business day and deposit in repositoryASC 842 review and postingMisc journal entries Real Estate tax, Braintree R&M, Rent payment ACH
Plant Analysis:Cash Flow Actual and Forecast reporting weeklyRun and analyze utilization report including OT impact / reportClose all jobs marked complete dailey and work with line managers on any problemsAssist with any and all billing/RMA/DMR adjustmentsDaily sales and orders report inputWire transfers, ACH, payment research, otherCycle count process - drive Report,Analyze, Approve, Record (RAAR)Analyze and process out-of-cycle payments to critical suppliers
Support to the BU Controller in the following areas:Operations ReviewBudgets, Forecasts and Strategic plansFactory Metrics and reportingAnnual audit programReview WIP reports with lineReview Sales / GM reports with lineIWR / capture - proactive review and troubleshootingSpecial projects
Other areas of interest:Help manage the new business funnel and push the quoting and order receipt process and forecast inputDeep dive into the factory and analyze standard hours and performance on jobs - utilization and shipment metrics need to be improvedReview Fixed assets and re-engineer the approval (CAPEX file) and cash flow which is a key to good Cash flow ForecastDeep dive intoRMA's and DMR's to ensure speedy payback when we failChelsea financial presence one or two days a week to get ahead of thingsAssist with Inventory disposal program in Dorchester to Braintree - in progressProcess change to lesson billing mistakes in process
Minimum Qualifications
This position requires use of information or access to hardware and documents which are subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). This position must be able to comply with the requirements of ITAR and other U.S. export control laws.

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field requiredStrong understanding of Financial/Accounting principlesStrong analytical abilities with sharp attention to details a mustAdvanced ability to analyze and interpret large data set from complex structure, and communicate impact on the businessProven record of leading global process development and implementation cross‐regionally and cross- functionallyOperational accounting and finance experience with dynamic organization desirableAbility to manage multiple projects with competing demands on resourcesSuperior communication skillsHighly proficient in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Solid experience with ERP, BI, Financial Planning and Reporting systemsM&A valuation and integration experiences desired
EducationBS degree in Accounting or BusinessCMA aspirations preferred but not requiredExperience3-5 years of progressive experience/responsibility in financial/business/operations analysis
