Regional Discipline Manager (Grassroots) - 12 Month Maternity Cover

We have a have an exciting opportunity for a Regional Discipline Manager in our Grassroots Division to join The FA for a 12 month maternity cover contract.

You will support The CFA Governance Departments within their region in the management of their discipline processes surrounding serious cases (Discrimination and Referee assault/physical contact offences), ensuring cases are heard swiftly and resolved professionally. You will oversee the investigation process of serious misconduct cases, investigating some breaches of Serious CFA cases where appropriate and ensure participants are educated in relation to matters affecting the integrity of the game at CFA level.

What will you be doing?

To proactively and reactively conduct investigations into alleged breaches of FA Rules and Regulations surrounding serious cases.To advise Case Officers and where appropriate conduct investigative interviews and thorough reviews of all available evidence in relation to alleged breaches of FA Rules.Guide CFA's on the Preparation of case files for prosecution.Liaise with alleged victims on management of serious cases.Ensure effective and thorough case file management for all investigations in line with FA procedures.Manage and advise members of the CFA Governance team on all CFA Discipline matters surrounding serious cases.Ensure the Governance functionality meets all requirements of The FA practices and policies.Execute additional tasks as required in order to meet FA and CFA requirements in the handling of serious cases.Produce management reports on the handling of serious cases.Assist in the delivery of local training of discipline matters in line with FA Discipline training programme.To provide support to other E,D&I initiatives as required.Executes additional tasks as required in order to meet FA Group changing priorities.Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and wellbeing can be maintained.As part of The FA's commitment to ensuring a safe environment for everyone in football, every employee will be required to complete a DBS check. Essential for the role

Knowledge

Excellent understanding of FA Rules and RegulationsExtensive understanding of the FA discrimination case handling processExcellent understanding of an inquisitorial regulatory processGood knowledge of English football at Grassroots level and the non-league Pyramid.Understanding of Equality legislationUnderstanding of hearing and appointing principles

Experience

Experience in the conduct and management of investigations within a County FA or other similar Regulatory setting.Experience of case file preparation and management.Experience in using MS Office products and ability to create reports using data.Experience of dealing with a broad spectrum of E,D&I matters.

Technical Skills

Strong presentation skills.Excellent written communication and report writing skills and a keen eye for detailSound customer relations skills

Beneficial to have

Knowledge

Detailed knowledge of the League pyramid.Understanding of key Sports law principles

Experience

Experience gained working in a regulatory or law environment.Involvement as a member disciplinary or appeals panels.Involvement in delivery of specific E,D&I programs or initiatives.

Technical Skills

Extensive experience of working with MS Office Products and Smartsheet.Experience dealing with the media.

Our Organisation
