Our client, a leading manufacturer of innovative products, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their tight-knit finance and accounting team in Geneva, IL.
In this role, you'll play a crucial part in managing core finance and accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and contributing to the company's continued success. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, a keen eye for detail, and a drive to excel in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
What You'll Do:-Own the month-end close process, including journal entries, account analysis, and reconciliations-Ensure compliance with revenue recognition and lease accounting guidelines-Collaborate with international teams to consolidate financial results in accordance with GAAP-Produce insightful financial statements and ad hoc reports for senior leadership-Analyze manufacturing costs, resolve variances, and partner with operations to drive efficiency-Manage inventory valuation, cycle counts, and year-end observations-Support the annual budget process and prepare work papers for external audits-Continuously improve accounting processes and evolve with changing regulations
What You'll Bring:-2+ years of experience in an Accounting role (public accounting experience preferred, but not required)-Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA a plus, but not required)-Strong technical accounting skills and a solid understanding of GAAP-Proficiency in ERP systems (Epicor10 preferred), Excel, and Word-Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently-Passion for professional growth and eagerness to expand your skill set-Desire to make a meaningful impact in a thriving, family-owned business-Experience with corporate manufacturing accounting is a plus, but not required
