Senior Fund Accountant

Client Overview: Our client is a leading private equity firm focused on cash flow-based financing solutions for the middle market community. With a strong track record of success, our client has invested in over 100 companies and raised over $2 billion in capital. The team is looking for a senior fund accountant to join their team in the New York office.

Core Responsibilities:· Spearhead comprehensive financial reporting initiatives for the organization's private credit offerings, ensuring accurate monthly performance metrics, net asset values, and financial statements.· Navigate through complex financial situations to manage fund liquidity, including precise cash flow forecasting, capital call execution, distribution processes, and effective coordination with external and internal stakeholders.· Play a key role in the strategic allocation of investments, managing leverage, and ensuring compliance with borrowing agreements and financial covenants.· Act as the primary liaison with external partners (including auditors, legal advisors, and fund administrators) to facilitate seamless investor communications and regulatory compliance.· Champion the valuation and investment appraisal process, contributing vital insights to uphold the integrity and accuracy of fund valuations.· Stay up to date on evolving accounting standards and regulatory mandates, translating these into actionable insights for fund management and reporting protocols.· Drive excellence in investor and management reporting, delivering critical data and analysis to support strategic decision-making. Professional Attributes and Experience:· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 2-4 years of demonstrated experience in a relevant field, ideally within Public Accounting Audit, Private Equity Fund Accounting, or an Investment Company environment.· CPA certification is highly regarded, alongside familiarity with Bank Debt/Credit products and proficiency in using the Advent Geneva system.· Expertise in the Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Excel.· Ability to self-direct and motivate, coupled with a meticulous attention to detail, superb organizational capabilities, and a talent for managing high-pressure situations.· A commitment to professional ethics, confidentiality, and a collaborative spirit are indispensable. Base salary range: $125,000/yr - $150,000/yr with additional bonus and full benefits package.
