About the Company:Our client is one of the leading global entertainment and hospitality companies with offices in Raleigh. They are looking to bring on a Staff Accountant to work closely with their event accounting team. This is a newly-created role with tremendous growth potential and exposure within the company!!!

Responsibilities:Collaborate with event producers to determine revenue and cost recognition for tours during month-end closeManage, reconcile and control complex accountsPrepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports and schedules to support management decision-makingAssist with preparing and posting journal entries related to cash, revenue, cost of goods sold, and accounts receivableCalculate and prepare artist settlements for event closeoutsConduct regular GL account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial dataAssist with quarterly and year-end financial statement audits and provide necessary documentation to auditorsRespond promptly to various ad-hoc requests for financial information and analysis
Qualifications4+ years of progressive accounting experience ideally in entertainment/hospitality industrySolid foundation of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the proven ability to communicate effectively both within the Finance department and cross-functionallyExperience with accounting ERP system such as NetSuite preferredAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills
