The Hershey Company West Hershey plant is a Union plant producing products such as White & Dark Paste, Kisses, Nuggets, Milk Bars, Almond Bars, Rolo & Syrup, in a high-speed complex environment.
Pay
Starting Pay is $36.66/hour
75 cent per hour shift differential for working 2nd or 3rd shift

Shifts
We require that you are flexible to work any shift, weekends, overtime, and holidays. Schedule assignments upon hire are determined by plant needs and will be discussed during the interview process.
Candidate Process
Qualified applicants will need to successfully complete a mechanical written and hands-on skills assessment. Those receiving a passing score on both the written and hands-on mechanical skills assessment will advance to an onsite interview with the hiring team.
Summary
The West Hershey Plant of The Hershey Company has immediate openings for Industrial Mechanical Technicians to work in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.
Primary duties of this position are mechanical troubleshooting and repair of production equipment. Responsibilities include mechanical installation, setup, and repair. Compensation is established on a skill-based pay system.
Required background skills and minimum qualifications shall include:
A minimum of three years experience in the industrial, military, or owner/operator trades environmentThe successful candidate must be able to effectively function in a fast-paced team environmentHigh school diploma or G.E.D.Associates degree in related field or minimum of 3 years of hands on experience in a manufacturing environment of relevant military experienceMust be at least 18 years of ageMust be able to read, write, and speak EnglishMust be flexible to work any shiftMust be available to work weekends, holidays and overtimeMust be authorized to work in the United StatesBasic computer skillsJob related mechanical skills will be assessed
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is preferredExperience with Safe Quality Food (SQF) practices is preferredExperience with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) is preferredExperience with Continuous Improvement methodology is preferredExperience with SAP Maintenance module is preferred
Physical Demands
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbsRegularly required to work around operating equipment, confined spaces, stand, reach, stoop, crawl, walk, climb ladders and bend
Working Conditions
Work will be performed within a manufacturing facilityThe use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required to include but not limited to safety toe shoes, ear plugs, safety glasses/goggles, bump caps, hair and beard nets, and glovesWearing company issued uniforms is a requirement
