The Howard Company is seeking a dynamic Operations Manager to oversee our manufacturing assembly processes, graphics production, purchasing, and the warehouse team, which includes shipping and receiving. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a servant leader mindset that has a proven track record of optimizing production efficiency while maintaining high quality standards. This role offers the opportunity to lead a talented team with 4 direct reports and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance our operational performance across multiple functions.

Responsibilities Include:Lead the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing assembly department, graphics production, purchasing, and the warehouse team.Manage and mentor a team of department managers and cell leaders, providing leadership, guidance, and support to enhance their performance and professional development and the development of their staff.Participate as a member of the leadership team to influence the strategic direction and execution of company-wide objectives.Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, customer service, and our installation and digital services team to ensure timely delivery of products and an exceptional customer experience.Oversee purchasing activities, including vendor management, procurement of materials and components, and inventory control, to support production requirements and minimize lead times.Monitor key scorecard metrics to track performance, identify trends, and take proactive measures to address any issues; implement strategic plans to optimize processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.Oversee building/facilities maintenance including external contracts.

We are looking for a teammate with:Bachelor's degree in engineering or related fieldProven experience (10 years+) in operations management within a manufacturing environment leading multiple functional areas.Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve goals and drive results.Experience with lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is desirable.Experience with EOS as a business operating methodology is desirable.
