The Manager, Accounting is responsible for developing an understanding of the business and the accounting for their assigned subsidiaries. They are also responsible for reviewing entries and updating the UTB (Understand the Business) file for Business Units (BUs) on a biannual basis.
Responsibilities Review and update the UTB file for BUs on a biannual basis using Blackline.Ensure timely completion of management questions related to BUs.Perform second level review of weekly tasks in Blackline and ensure timely completion.Review balance sheet account reconciliations in Blackline.Ensure MD&A (Management Discussion and Analysis) is prepared based on the risk matrix and review for completeness and quality.Ensure zero tardiness on Blackline tasks and error-free reconciliations.Present monthly MD&A of high-risk entities as a Blackline task.Escalate any issues identified during MD&A review to management.Send monthly Blackline reconciliation and tasks tracker screenshot/report to Offshore Manager by the 20th of every month.Schedule meetings with Supervisor on BD 9 and 10 to present monthly MD&A of high-risk entities.Provide proactive updates to Direct Manager regarding issues, weekly and monthly tasks, and other assigned projects.Review monthly KPIs of assigned offshore and onsite teams and provide feedback.Review monthly KPIs of Genpact and Senior Accountant.Send monthly review report of KPIs to Supervisor by the 22nd of every month.
Requirements Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting or finance.Strong understanding of business operations and accounting principles.Proficient in using Blackline, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Excel.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to manage a team and identify recruitment and development needs.Knowledge of external audit processes and financial statement preparation.Familiarity with integrating entities into financial processes.Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
