Summary
Per Se has an excellent full time direct hire opportunity for a Maintenance Mechanic to work for a steel company manufacturing electrical steel laminations. As a Maintenance Mechanic you will be responsible for maintaining production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment in a high paces production stamping environment
Responsibilities
Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment, complete maintenance on mechanical presses, press line related equipment, conveyor systems, overhead cranes and various production machinesFollow diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshoot malfunctionsPerform preventative task associated on heavy industrial manufacturing equipmentLocate source of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instrumentsFabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipmentProficient in rigging/lifting fundamentals required for large equipment replacements
Preferred skills and expertise
Experience with Mechanical systems, hydraulics and pneumatic equipmentJourneyman level skills supported by the successful completion of a Journeyman mechanical training program or mechanical training apprenticeship programMinimum of 3+ years of mechanical experience in an industrial manufacturing setting
