Description
The QE is responsible for interpreting Customer contract requirements, engineering drawings & data sets, specifications, and other technical information. Ensure compliance and proper implementation in the Quality Management System (QMS). The role of the QE spans the entire scope of the QMS, from contract/proposal review through final delivery and documentation of quality acceptance. Support Strategy, Quality Policy, and Values by supporting our commitment to total customer satisfaction, quality products and services, and employee development. Conduct root cause / corrective action investigations using appropriate procedures. Create quality plans for product qualification (PPAP and FMEA) as well as validate production processes. Utilize qualitative and statistical methods and tools to collect, summarize, analyze, interpret, and communicate process capability and performance. This would include the use of key statistical process control (SPC) tools. Evaluate, develop, and publish quality metrics and audit results to project teams and stakeholders.
Requirements
Knowledge of aerospace industry test standards. This includes EMI testing such as radiated and conducted emissions and
susceptibility, pin injection, electrical power quality and transients, as well as environmental tests such as temperature, shock,
and vibration.
Knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 quality standards, solid GD&T, and CMM knowledge Proficient in APQP Proficient in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Value Stream Operations Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University with major course work in engineering, quality, or science preferred. 3-5 years Quality Engineering experience in the Aerospace/Space industry. Equivalent combination of education and experience
will be accepted.
Aerospace Inspection of detail parts, tooling and assemblies required. Knowledge of computer aided design systems and digital product definition or model-based definition objects is preferred. Auditing experience required, preferably to ISO 9001:2015/AS9100. Strong oral and written communication skills Strong interpersonal and leadership skillsPandoLogic.
