Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, root planning, and polishingTake dental x-raysConduct oral cancer screeningsAdminister local anesthesia as directed by the dentistEducate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care instructionsAssist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments and maintaining a sterile fieldPerform dental charting and maintain accurate patient recordsFollow strict infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work areaStay up-to-date with advancements in dental hygiene techniques and technologies
Skills
Proficiency in using computer-aided design (CAD) software for treatment planningKnowledge of aseptic technique to maintain a sterile environmentFamiliarity with dental office procedures and workflowsAbility to assess patient needs and develop appropriate treatment plansUnderstanding of medical coding for accurate billing purposesStrong knowledge of dental anatomy and oral health conditionsFamiliarity with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentialityExcellent documentation skills for maintaining accurate medical records
