📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Location: Valparaiso, IN
Salary: $70,000.00 USD Annually - $85,000.00 USD Annually
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Production Supervisor. The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all activities of production and maintenance for the Caster for the scheduled turn. This position reports directly to the Caster Production Manager.
Roles And Responsibilities
Train crew to follow Health, Safety, and environmental policies. Ensure safety policies and job safety analysis are applied. Conduct safety audits and meetings regularly. Facilitate communication between management and staff. Implement and enforce technical and quality standards. Complete reports and coordinate with other supervisors. Manage activities to improve productivity and quality while controlling costs. Uphold labor agreement terms within the department.
Qualifications
Experience in Electric Arc Furnace Shop and Caster operations. 3-5 years of management experience in a Melt Shop with EAF and Caster. College degree in Metallurgy or Engineering is a plus. Experience managing a unionized workforce is preferred.
