Chemist Technician Co-op/Intern
The Chemist Technician Co-Op/Intern at Mosaic will be assisting in the analysis of routine and non-routine samples and will be assigned to projects focused on improving the Quality Control Lab and instrumentation. What will you do?
Assignments will involve learning all aspects of working in the Quality Control Lab including analysis of Production, mining and shipping samplesCalibration and maintenance of QC Lab instruments including ICP-OES and Xray Diffraction Engage in self-development to enrich your skillset to fulfill your career aspirations.
What do you need for this role?
Sophomore level or higher pursuing bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related degree preferredXRD instrument experience considered an asset2.75 GPA or higherAbility to function in an industrial chemical and mining environmentStudent in standing at the time of the co-op/internship1-2 years of experience volunteering, working with student/school organizations, or work is requiredPrevious internship or co-op experience is preferredReliable transportation and valid driver’s license - You will need to be able to travel to and from sites and/or office.Basic computer skills are requiredExperience working in a team environment is a mustFamiliarity with an industrial environment is highly desirableEffective verbal communication skills is a plusPhysical work environment is occasionally outdoors with exposure to varying degrees of hot and cold environments
