Role DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Medical Biller to oversee our billing department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing and coding, exceptional leadership abilities, and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency. As the Lead Medical Biller, you will be responsible for managing a team of billing specialists, ensuring timely and accurate processing of medical claims, and resolving any denials or issues related to billing. This role will be based in the Baltimore metropolitan area, MD, with flexibility for some remote work.
BASE PAY $75,000 annually with incentive opportunities.
Responsibilities:Supervise and mentor a team of medical billing specialists, providing guidance and support as neededOversee the billing process from claim submission to payment posting, ensuring accuracy and efficiency at every stepReview and analyze billing data to identify trends, address discrepancies, and implement improvementsCollaborate with other stakeholders to resolve billing issuesStay current on industry regulations and changes in billing practices, ensuring compliance with all relevant guidelines and standardsConduct regular audits to maintain the integrity of billing records and minimize errors
QualificationsIn-depth knowledge of medical billing and coding principles, practices, and regulationsExperience with billing software, insurance, and Medicare. Billing experience within mental health fields and ABA is preferred.Ability to analyze and resolve denials and billing issuesExcellent knowledge of medical billing regulations and policiesEffective communication and organizational skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutionsDetail-oriented and organized, with a commitment to accuracy and complianceAbility to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
