Reports to: Director of Learning and Engagement
Status: Exempt (Salary), Full-Time, Management
Location: Hybrid/remote/2+ days/week at various locations, but based at Arlington Administration Building
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm

SUMMARY
The Employee Engagement Department is responsible for the execution of agency-wide efforts, designed to connect all staff to opportunities that are crucial to shaping the most engaging employee experience possible. These efforts include overseeing a robust calendar of communications and activities, creating greater accessibility and equity within our staff, supporting and consulting with other teams and leaders to maximize engagement, and coordinating events for employees to connect with each other.
Under the supervision of the Director of Learning and Engagement, the Manager, Employee Engagement will lead the execution of all activities of the Employee Engagement Department including ongoing and new agency-wide engagement opportunities. The Manager, Employee Engagement will have the opportunity to give strategic input into the future direction of the department, both initially and on an ongoing basis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Agency-Wide Staff Engagement Initiatives
Be responsible for the annual calendar of agency engagement initiatives and timelines for executionLead annual engagement surveying, analysis, and reporting processLead initiatives to increase understanding and commitment to the Expected Behaviors of all staff and People LeadersOversee execution of all-staff engagement and integration events, supporting personally as needed, including but are not limited to: monthly Town Hall by Call and Lean On Me, bi-annual People Co Con, annual Day in the Park, Mentoring for Success, Social Justice Jams, Holiday Decorating Contest and PartyOther duties as assigned and as needed
Equity and Access
Strategize and implement strategies to increase internal collaboration on agency-wide initiatives among staffProvide consult and support to specific departments with lower levels of engagementFoster a culture of collaboration and accessOther duties as assigned and as needed
Internal Corporate Communications
Oversee internal communications calendar through Employee Engagement SpecialistWrite and edit corporate communications under the purview of the Employee Engagement DepartmentOther duties as assigned and as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience requiredStrong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and the ability to identify ways to incorporate a DEI lens to employee engagement activitiesSelf-motivated and able to successfully work independently and in a fast-paced environmentStrong interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively with a wide range of people, teams and vendorsAbility to think critically about problems and be creative in finding solutionsStrong communication skills, including written and oralAdvanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignmentsDetail oriented with excellent time management and communication skillsStrong computer skills, including Microsoft Office proficiencyDemonstrates an ability to use new technology to enhance the employee learning experienceAbility to operate media equipment such as projectors and personal computersValid CA Driver’s license, reliable car, auto insurance, and an acceptable driving record

Client-serving experience preferredBilingual Spanish speaker preferred
WORK ENVIRONMENT
