π Role Overview & Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:Develop and execute annual business development plans in collaboration with department, practice, and working group leaders.Provide strategic business development advice reflecting an understanding of market forces, competitive landscape, and sector-specific dynamics.Innovate approaches to support client retention, expansion, and brand elevation.Create pitch materials and proposals showcasing relevant experience, knowledge, and value-added offerings.Collaborate with practice leadership to develop successful strategies for lateral recruiting efforts.Facilitate integration of lateral partners and senior counsel by developing roadmaps and fostering strategic introductions.Create marketing collateral, website content, and client-facing materials, ensuring relevance and accuracy.Analyze client and market intelligence to inform business development initiatives.Support client service teams as required.Contribute to firm-wide knowledge management efforts, including CRM and experience management platforms.Identify opportunities to increase brand awareness through events, presentations, media engagements, and published articles.Plan and execute client development events with group attorneys.Drive thought leadership efforts, including blogs, alerts, and articles.Coordinate submissions to ranking publications and recognition opportunities.Assist in developing and managing business development budgets for assigned groups.Mentor and train direct reports to optimize resources and pursue revenue opportunities.Qualifications:Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Proven track record in proactive business development, including client relationship management and revenue growth.Strong business acumen with the ability to leverage data for strategic decision-making.Experience in enhancing practice group branding.Highly motivated, collaborative, and results-oriented.Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.Proficiency in knowledge management systems, including CRM platforms.Leadership experience in building and managing BD support functions.Education:Bachelorβs Degree required. JD, MBA, or related advanced degree may substitute for experience.Experience:Minimum seven (7) years of directly related experience.Experience in motivating and leading teams to drive results.Prior business development and marketing experience in a professional services firm is preferred.
