Forklift Driver

Our client has been an industry leader in the Timberlake NC area for many years. Due to service expansion, we are currently searching for motivated self-starters to fill their open positions.

We have a limited to no contact on-boarding process to make finding work easy!

Position Summary

To operate various forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, store, stage and count merchandise to be shipped and/or received. To fill orders to be shipped and to receive material to be stored. Ensures the timely delivery of materials to other departments. Maintains a safe and organized Finished Goods area to ensure its efficient operation.

Position Responsibilities / Accountabilities

Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped.Efficiently move product from staging and/or storage and load into trailers. Unload inbound shipments and move product to storage locations.Efficiently stack and store the merchandise in the appropriate areas.Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and damage free.Utilize bar code gun to log stock into bin locations.Report all quality variances to the Shipping/Receiving Supervisor or Assistant.Operate various forklifts in a safe and efficient manner and maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean and orderly fashion.Use wrapper to wrap loads.On a daily basis, inspect various forklifts to be used and report repair needs to the Shipping/Receiving Supervisor or Assistant.Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained.Assist in physical inventories.Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards.Assist with all shift paperwork.Perform housekeeping duties as assigned by the Supervisor.Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to do counts accurately.Must be able to handle heights

Experience –

Prior forklift driving experience is required.

Education / Certifications / Licenses -

H.S. Diploma or GED preferred.

Requirements Include

Previous tobacco experience a plus but not requiredAbility to perform repetitive motions and lift up to 20 pounds. Physical ability to be able to lift weights to around 50 lbs.Ability to work overtime and/or additional shift to meet production requirements.Teamwork, Coordination, Dependability. Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.

Benefits
