Bilingual Job Developer’s Responsibilities
Work with area partners to identify potential employers and develop a marketing strategy.Contact new companies to promote hiring of refugees.Review employment websites daily and periodicals weekly.Follow-up with interested companies through personal visits and meetings and maintain a case file for each client.Provide pre-employment orientation and counseling to clients.Provide transportation as needed to job interviews and assignments.
Bilingual Job Developer’s Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with one year of related experience; or a high school diploma with 4 years of related experience is required.One year of previous experience working with refugees or previous experience working in recruiting, staffing, and job placements is required.Must be able to speak, read, and write English. Bilingual in Spanish is required.Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including some late nights and weekends.Must have a valid driver’s license and automobile liability insurance.Must have current vehicle inspection sticker and vehicle registration.
