Dental Hygienist’s Responsibilities
Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before the examination.Sterilize dental instruments properly.Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history.Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries, or periodontitis.Clean and help protect patients’ teeth (e.g., remove plaque or apply fluoride)Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer)
Dental Hygienist’s Qualifications
A diploma in Dental Hygiene is required; a Master’s degree is a plus.A current and Valid License to practice dental hygiene is required.Three (3) years of minimum as a Dental Hygienist is required. Must have experience in preparing dental instruments and equipment.Understanding of health & safety regulations i.e., HIPAA
