Our client has built a tremendous reputation in site excavation services and equipment sales of heavy equipment accessories. They are growing their business and are seeking a motivated, hands on, and strategic sales manager with experience in equipment sales within excavation, utilities installation, recycling, material processing or earth moving industries.
A&D Equipment, Inc. are experts in high-performance, environmentally proactive heavy equipment attachments for the construction, utility, and excavation industries. We help our clients solve problems on their job sites, thereby saving them money. Our product lines, include screening and crushing buckets, demolition tools, tilt rotators, and couplers.A&D Equipment is growing quickly and is a great place to put down roots. Base compensation in the 80k range with health and dental insurance and 401k.Total compensation with incentives in the 150k plus range.
Summary- Sales Manager Responsible for leading and guiding the sales team to achieve revenue targets and company objectives Responsibilities include conducting sales activities, including lead generation, prospecting, and closing deals. The role also involves building and maintaining relationships with existing and potential clients, providing product demonstrations and presentations, negotiating contracts, and ensuring customer satisfaction. While the role is primarily based in Guilford, CT, there is flexibility for some work from home.Travel for client visits throughout New England will be expected, as well as several trade shows during the year.We offer expertise and support to our customers throughout the entire process, from consultation and purchase to training and customer support.

ObjectivesSales Goals: Establishing sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.Leadership: Hiring, leading, coaching, and motivating the sales team to meet or exceed sales targets; providing guidance and support to improve performance.Sales Execution: conducting sales presentations, calls and negotiations to close sales.Strategy Development: Developing and implementing strategic sales plans to expand the customer base and achieve sales goals; identifying emerging markets and market shifts while being aware of new products and competition status.Performance Analysis: Analyzing sales data, trends, forecasts, and competitor activity to adjust strategies and tactics accordingly; compiling reports on sales performance and tracking key metrics.Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships; understanding customer needs and ensuring customer satisfaction.Knowledge: Maintaining in-depth knowledge of the company's products and services as well as industry trends; effectively communicating product features and benefits to customers.Working closely with other departments such as marketing, finance, and operations to align sales strategies with overall company objectives; providing feedback and insights to improve processes and offerings.and Training: Recruiting, hiring, and training new sales staff; conducting performance evaluations and providing ongoing training and development opportunities.Management: Managing the sales department budget effectively; controlling expenses and maximizing profitability.
