Job Summary
As a Human Resources Manager for The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, you will be instrumental in shaping our company culture, fostering talent, and promoting a dynamic work environment where employees can thrive. You will lead HR initiatives that align with our values, support our strategic objectives, and empower our team to deliver exceptional service. The Human Resources Manager is passionate about people, proactive, and shows initiative to perform tasks that support multiple responsibilities.
Essential Functions
Assists in maintaining effective employee communication channels in the office.Develops and maintains positive working relationships with others; supports the team to reach common goals; listens and responds appropriately to the concerns of other employees.Reviews progressive discipline documentation for accuracy and consistency, checks for supportive documentation, and is accountable for determining appropriate action.Ensures employee issues are referred to the Department Manager for resolution or escalated to the Director of Human Resources where appropriate.Supports the employee benefits program, including open enrollment.Supports new hire onboarding activities such as background checks, employee eligibility verifications, and Brand Immersion training.Participates in developing organizational guidelines and procedures and ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, and all local employment laws and regulations.Management of administrative documentation, including data entry, maintenance of employee records, new hire documentation, compliance, and disciplinary action.Ensures all employee records are maintained and updated with new hire information or changes in employment status.Ensure all company HR policies are applied consistently.Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.Travel may be required, including internationally.Performs other duties as assigned.
Competency
Education
Bachelor's degree in human resource management or a related field; or equivalent education, training, and experience
Skills & Experience
Six years of experience in progressive human resources roles with proven knowledge of international HR processesStrong relationship and communication skills with the ability to convey ideas effectively to a broad range of audiencesExcellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong supervisory and leadership skillsThorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulationsKnowledge of and experience with varied human resource information systems. Experience with Workday is a plusProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
