Senior Solar Electrical Engineer (Manager)
📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
The Senior Electrical Engineer will be involved with every stage of development engineering for utility scale solar & BESS projects. You will lead a team of 2/3 electrical engineers and work on all design aspects of 50MW-500MW projects
Key ResponsibilitiesDirect and develop electrical layouts for utility scale solar projects using AutoCADRecommend primary project equipmentTechnical diligence for new project opportunitiesSupport for RFPs, Greenfield Development, and Acquisition conceptual to 30% design studies.Technical diligence for new project opportunitiesTechnical diligence for new project opportunitiesDevelopment of technical deliverables for RFP responses and proposalsProvide technical support during construction
Skills and QualificationsPrimary QualificationsUndergraduate degree in engineering or equivalent technical field7+ years of experience in solar engineeringStrong working knowledge of AutoCAD & ETAPSkilled with solar electrical layoutsPE License (or being close to attaining) very strongly preferred.
This role is hybrid, based in either Durham, NC or Phoenix, AZ.
