Director of Development, Children's Miracle Network

What We Seek:Join us as the Director of Development for the Children's Miracle Network at the University of New Mexico Foundation, where you'll play a pivotal role in fundraising and managing a vital University operating unit. You'll lead the charge in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating fundraising projects and programs to achieve our development goals and objectives.

In this dynamic position, you'll personally identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors and prospects in alignment with performance targets set by the UNM Foundation. Your leadership will extend to coordinating projects, programs, and activities to enhance visibility among various stakeholders, including leadership, alumni, corporations, foundations, the business community, volunteers, and beyond. Primary ResponsibilitiesIdentifies, cultivates, solicits, and stewards major donors and prospects including individuals, corporations, and foundations, through visits and other forms of direct personal contact in accordance with performance targets set by the UNM Foundation and at levels defined by the Foundation.Establishes effective working relationship with corresponding Dean, Director or leader of university unit for fundraising matters.Responsible for obtaining major and planned gifts as defined by UNM Foundation.Enlists senior management in furthering the unit's fundraising program; provides effective staffing and educates and supports management with respect to their Foundation leadership roles.Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with the UNM Foundation and colleagues to maximize the unit's total gift revenue.Performs other duties as assigned.

Required QualificationsBaccalaureate degree from an accredited institution requiredThree (3) or more years related experience in development/fundraisingExperience in higher education or other non-profit organizationProven ability to close large private giftsWillingness to travel and to work some evenings and weekends

Compensation Salary Range$80,000 - $85,000Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.

Other RequirementsMust be able to drive personal vehicle for University and Foundation business (mileage reimbursed) and hold a valid driver’s license with current insurance, and a clean driving record. Offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of criminal, driving record, and employment background screening. Some positions may also require credit background screening as well.
