Job Summary

The Program Director, Strategic Initiatives is responsible for supporting the Dean’s leading efforts in the development, implementation and monitoring of the college’s strategic plan, collaborating with key departments and staff, and budget tracking. Under the Dean’s direction, liaison with college and university leaders, faculty and staff to advance the University’s strategic plan and the college’s primary mission – to supply creative, interdisciplinary approaches to address the challenges of a complex, global society; recruit and engage world-class faculty who empower students to learn transferrable skills and standards, industry culture and professionalism; and emphasize student engagement through study abroad, internships, and service learning.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma with ten (10) years or more record of productivity and professional accomplishment in business with professional strategic planning and successful implementation of initiatives and achievement of goals.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s or higher.Five (5) years in matching experience in higher education.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Assist the Dean and college leadership in the development and execution of the college’s detailed strategic plan, track, report and communicate results, and help review and revise the plan.Work closely with the Dean’s advisor, the College Business Officer, to ensure high-level financial planning and budget stay on track and optimize resources to help the college achieve its mission.Collaborate with the college’s marketing and communications department to help ensure the college meets its business objectives including donor outreach and retention goals.Liaise with executive support to ensure the Dean’s objectives are carried out, and operations run efficiently.Collaborate with the Business Operations Manager and their college-wide processes and procedures initiative.Advance the Dean’s leadership strategies to cultivate a culture of excellence throughout the college.Serve as the Dean’s facilities liaison and work closely with the Dean’s advisor and the College Business Officer to ensure the college’s centers’ budgets and fiscal management align with the university’s strategic plan.Support the Sr. Associates Dean’seffort to nurture strong partnerships with internal and external partners to grow professional, undergraduate, and graduate certificates.Create pathways for Community College, ISDs for Majors and Non-Majors for concurrent or sequential enrollment.Start programs with stackable credentials to support work and learn options.
