Commercial Construction Estimator

Job descriptionWe are seeking an experienced estimator with experience with General Contracting and Commercial Construction. The position will require that the individual be able to work on multiple projects at the same time, individually, as a team member or both. The individual must be capable of establishing accurate estimates from CD level through Hard Bid and have a comprehensive understanding of the scopes involved.Estimator’s Duties & Responsibilities to include:Analyzing requirement documents, blueprints and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the projectDetermining what factors of production will influence the cost of a service or productPreparing material estimates and cost estimates for the product or serviceCreating labor estimates for any projectDeveloping and maintaining relationships with company vendors and contractorsManaging bids from vendors and contractorsUsing bid data to prepare detailed a cost analysisWriting detailed proposalsHelp compile and maintain a cost databaseHelp to maintain the SmartBid databaseRequired Skills & Qualifications:Proficiency in mathematics and data analysisExcellent analytical skills and attention to detailFamiliarity with analyzing requirement data to develop material and cost estimates for large projectsExpertise with analytic tools, such as MS Office (Excel), OST or Planswift, SmartBidAbility to read and interpret technical documentsExcellent written communication and interpersonal skillsExceptional time management skillsDependable, conscientious and well spoken
