Position Overview:As a Commercial Insulation Estimator at Thermal Solutions, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our insulation projects. You will be responsible for accurately assessing project requirements, preparing detailed cost estimates, and collaborating with our project management and sales teams to secure contracts. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in commercial insulation, exceptional attention to detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities:1. Project Assessment: Evaluate project specifications, blueprints, and site conditions to determine insulation requirements.
- Cost Estimation: Prepare comprehensive and accurate cost estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs.
- Bid Proposals: Collaborate with the sales team to develop competitive bid proposals and submit them to potential clients.
- Vendor Relations: Maintain relationships with insulation material suppliers and negotiate pricing to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed records of estimates, proposals, and project related documents.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to provide technical expertise and support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to commercial insulation.
Qualifications:- College or Field Experience is a plus- Strong understanding of insulation materials, methods, and industry standards.- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and construction documents.- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.- Strong communication and negotiation skills.- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., MIKE, Bluebeam) is a plus.- Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
