JOB DESCRIPTIONThe project manager leads, manages, and oversees the design and construction process of a design project under the direct supervision of the licensed architect. They monitor progress and guide the process to ensure it’s on track, often simultaneously with multiple projects. Project managers also develop, organize, and review building plans, ensuring a project meets all life safety, environmental, and code standards.
RESPONSIBILITIESWork full-time, 40 hours per weekPerform site assessment and field surveysAbility to travel to local job sites as neededManage project deliverables and deadlinesLead consultant coordination and facility project meetingsPerform comprehensive code reviewsDevelop/ design space plans and assist client with programmingPrepare scaled drawings and construction documentsFacilitate construction administration services including site meetings, RFIs, shop drawing review, submittals, addenda, construction bulletins and finish selectionsPrepare punch lists at substantial completion
REQUIREMENTSProfessional Degree, Bachelor’s in Architecture (Preferred)5-7 years’ experienceStrong written, organization, and verbal skillsStrong interpersonal skills among the project team, consultants, and client reps.Proficient understanding of construction drawing/ detailing on various commercial building systems.Ability to solve complex architectural design and construction concernsDetail oriented with an ability to multi-taskAbility to manage multiple projects at various stages of developmentProficient in Revit, Enscape and Microsoft OfficeStrong knowledge of Minnesota CodesKnowledge of Revit families, BIM template a plus
