Senior Superintendent (DSA/Higher Education)

Tiello has partnered with a highly successful Public Works/DSA General Contractor in Los Angeles County on their search for an experienced Senior Superintendent to work on DSA / Higher Education projects up to $60 Million here in the West Los Angeles, CA area.

The company representative will serve as the company's point of contact both with the client and with the construction team when required. You will engage in and influence the safety culture and have the authority to make decisions on the General Contractor's behalf about such items as cost and schedule.

Please be advised: The Superintendent must be affiliated with a local Union.

Title: Senior Superintendent (6+ years)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Able to perform all essential Superintendent job responsibilitiesOversee the daily operation of construction projectsAttend and participate in Safety Training Program and enforce safety proceduresPrepare and maintain responsibility for CPM job scheduleDevelop Owner and Architect’s confidence and attend Owner meetings as requiredReview all drawings, specifications and subcontractor submittalsChair and/or attend ongoing subcontractor meetingsAssure work quality - set standards for quality controlOrder materials and tools and plan supply allotment to maintain a schedulePrepare necessary reports (e.g. timesheets, work orders, daily reports, and invoice approval)Document and complete all punch lists in a timely mannerOrganize, train, direct and coordinate field construction team including those of subcontractorsVerify subcontractor certificates of insurancePerform start-up testing and turnover to Owner

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:4+ years of experience as a Lead Superintendent focused directly in the Public Works/Higher Education sector with a priority working ground-up projects.Strong work ethic, team player with strong attention to details and ability to work independentlyExcellent critical thinking, problem-solving, mathematical and sound judgment skills
