OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES
The Sr. Data Analyst is ultimately responsible for using data analysis to support the various business teams in reporting on key metrics, monitoring the performance of the business, and finding solutions to new problems.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
Reporting on Key Metrics· Evaluate workflow analytics· Architect the build of new reports/dashboards to measure and report on key metrics Monitoring the Business· Monitor business for growth, losses, and ways to better understand our data· Report on shifting trends and differences between expectation and business· Deep dive into data warehouse in order to understand how data flows and be able to build ad hoc reports as needed to support business Identify New Solutions· Work with business teams to recognize pain points and determine ways to streamline processes· identify issues that keep the business from moving forward and find ways to alleviate or create time savings· Aid in development of new queries/reports/dashboards to better evaluate business trends QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Business or related field preferred.· Prefer 5+ years of experience in an analytics or reporting role.· Experience in the insurance or financial services preferred.· Actuarial experience· Proven ability to gather insights through data analysis.· Ability to communicate effectively with peers, executive management, agents and sales staff.· 3+ years of SQL experience· Must possess excellent organizational and time management skills and desire to work in a fast paced team environment.
