The TikTok Photo-Text team is responsible for the creation, consumption, and interactive experience of this format, constructing a content and creator ecosystem that is distinct from TikTok short videos but equally vibrant. Through encoding the physical world into videos, our camera enables users to see a broader world through their eyes. We aim to encode the inner world through photo and text, allowing users to experience others' lives, thereby encountering deeper, more diverse perspectives, emotions, and experiences. What our team doing is that leveraging TikTok's vast user base, we will establish a complete chain of creation, consumption, and interaction within it. We aim to explore how to meet users' diverse needs for image-text expression: participating in Memes, daily records, sharing experience and knowledge, expressing opinions, etc. We will also explore an image-text content ecosystem suitable for TikTok: understanding and defining good image-text content, exploring better containers, and distinguishing image-text distribution in the video recommendation system. In addition, we will explore the best image-text experiences through an independent app and build a UGC, informative, and interactive community in overseas markets.

We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship in 2024. Internships at TikTok aim to offer students industry exposure and hands-on experience. Turn your ambitions into reality as your inspiration brings infinite opportunities at TikTok.

This Internship Program runs for 10-24 weeks. Candidates can also apply for both Off-cycle Intern position and Program Intern position.

Responsibilities

Complete content understanding and annotation, research market user content consumption needs, and collaborate with recommendations to design content strategies

Maintain the relationship between the platform and creators, and introduce target content

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification

• Currently pursuing BS/MS degree
• Graduating December 2024 onwards with the intent to return to degree program after the completion of the internship.
• Able to commit to working for at least 12 weeks during Summer 2024.
• Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment

Preferred Qualification

• Interested in community products, active users, and high-follower authors get extra points
• Rich interests and active expression add points

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (hourly) The hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is $22- $24. We cover 100% premium coverage for Full-Time intern medical insurance after 90 days from the date of hire. Medical coverage only, no dental or vision coverage.Our time off and leave plans are: Paid holidays and paid sick leave. The sick leave entitlement is based on the time you join.We also provide mental and emotional health benefits through our Employee Assistance Program and provide reimbursements for your mobile phone expense.
