About the team

Welcome to the GAI-Vision team, where we pioneer vision-based AI through cutting-edge research in foundational models. Our mission is to advance content understanding and creation by harnessing the power of state-of-the-art AI models. We focus on cutting-edge R&D in areas like multi-modal understanding, vision and language, foundation models, image and video generation with an emphasis on content creation. The team is a mix of experienced research scientists and research engineers, aiming to push the research boundaries in multi-modality and applying our research results to improve the experience of global users. Responsibilities

• Conduct cutting-edge research and development in foundation model and multimodal machine learning, especially in the areas of generative AI (e.g. image, video, or 3d generation). The primary objective is to research cutting-edge video generation technology through innovation.
• Develop foundation model to enhance the strategic advantages for ByteDance products;
• Explore new downstream products with artificial intelligence technology at its core.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• 1-3 years of research and practical experience in one or more areas of computer vision and machine learning
• Hands-on coding experience in deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch) and large-scale training experience is preferred. Highly competent in algorithms and programming; Strong coding skills in Python.
• Work and collaborate well with team members.

Preferred

• Preferring candidates with publications in top-tier venues such as CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, SIGGRAPH or Multimedia, etc
• Experience in solving real-world machine learning technical bottlenecks.

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually) The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $177688 - $266000 annually.Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.Our company benefits are designed to convey company culture and values, to create an efficient and inspiring work environment, and to support our employees to give their best in both work and life.
