This hybrid position addresses two integral steps of Tipmont's process to connect customers to blazing-fast fiber-to-the-home internet.
First, you'll meet with customers to determine the best path to run Tipmont fiber from a main line along their property to their home. As required, you will also conduct final installations of fiber broadband service. Here, you will route, configure and provision fiber in the home, and assist with maintenance and repair of Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) and other devices deployed by Tipmont for residential and business internet customers.

Duties that intrigue you include:Designing and coordinating fiber services, including project plans and costs.Engaging customers in strategic, informed discussions for optimal service.Engineering members' requests and providing cost estimates.Splicing, patching and conducting light testing on fiber.Communicating with customers to plan routes for in-home fiber installation.Coordinating, updating, tracking and reporting the status of service drops.Obtaining right-of-way easements, permits and member agreements.Troubleshooting and resolving problems.Educating customers and providing onsite support.

Required Skills:High school degree / GED equivalent or technical knowledge in a related field.Knowledge to create and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics and engineering plans.Proficient oral and written communication skills.Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to ensure job-site safety.Ability to work as part of a team.Outstanding aptitude for problem-solving.Instincts to deliver exceptional customer service.Passion to learn, and educate about, new technology.Valid driver's license.
Preferred Skills:Experience with fiber installation and / or troubleshooting.
