TK Elevator is currently seeking an experienced Logistics Technician I in Middleton, TN.

Responsible for performing the essential functions associated with material flow and inventory integrity.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Facilitate inventory control utilizing supported system methods and physical verification.Provide area material replenishment support which consists ofMonitor inventory replenishment standards.Research material shortages for root cause and problem solving.Support area changes.Maintain clean, orderly work areas according to 6S standards.Support Control Tower functionsDaily Area order checklist and confirmationAuditsDocument and enter safety and quality opportunities in Process maps and GensuiteIdentify and add parts to delivery database.Perform specific job functions in a methodical and logical manner to achieve targeted results and maintain attention to detail.Perform essential job functions with general supervision.Support department projects as needed.

Your Profile

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Associate’s Degree in a related field preferred. Relevant work experience will be considered.High School Diploma and/or Technical School Diploma required.One to two years’ experience in logistics, inventory management, distribution or general manufacturing.Working knowledge of MRP systems (COPICS, SAP, ETL?) preferred.Demonstrated experience in lean material systems of lean production systems preferred.Familiarity with continuous improvement practices.Demonstrated ability to manually lift up to 50lbs as needed.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within the facility and across the organization (vertically and peer-to-peer).Possess strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.Possess strong decision making and prioritization skills with moderate supervision.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook) required.Demonstration of stable job history.
