Remote Plaintiff Personal Injury Settlement Negotiator

We are seeking a client-focused individual to join our growing firm as a remote Plaintiff Personal Injury Settlement Negotiator. The Settlement Negotiator will play an important role throughout an entire case timeline. The right candidate will have at least 10 years of bodily injury insurance claims negotiations experience and an established settlement track record. This Settlement Negotiator will be someone who is looking to make a difference for the clients and contribute to the firm as a whole. This role is fully remote. This is a 1099 arrangement. The position to start is 15-20 hours a week, but with room to grow if mutually agreed upon at a later date.

Responsibilities

Building and developing a rapport with adjustersReviewing cases with the PI team and establishing agreed upon valuations Participation in weekly meeting with team members to determine settlement strategy versus litigation and trialProactively negotiating and securing settlements on personal injury cases in pre-lit and litigation phasesSecure settlement releases Mediations and ArbitrationsAssist in lien reductions after settlement procurement

Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higherMust have a minimum of ten years personal injury negotiation experience Last 5 years plaintiff’s personal injury firm experienceMust have an established settlement track recordMust possess deep knowledge of NY personal injury lawMust possess excellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong organizational abilitiesExcellent attention to detailA persuasive natureGood problem-solving skillsThe ability to work well under pressureGood judgment, discretion, maturity, discipline and professionalismAptitude for navigating complex issues
