The Buyer is responsible for sourcing and purchasing products from vendors, suppliers, and/or manufacturers. The ideal Buyer will possess a strong sense of teamwork and collaboration, understanding that their efforts contribute to the overall success of the organization. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Major Responsibilities Monitor and approve all requests that come through business, into internal procurement system Choose the appropriate vendor for each PO request Obtain quotes as neededPrepare and process Purchase Orders for ordersCollaborate with Finance and Procurement to verify budgets and allocationFollow up with Accounts Payable on outstanding invoices to ensure payment timely payment and communicationWork with contract management and vendor setup teams to prepare documentation for new suppliersExpedite outstanding ordersLight vendor negotiation and RFPMaintain accurate records and ensure complianceWork in conjunction with stakeholders on urgent prioritiesGenerate regular reports on procurement activities, including cost savings, vendor performance and other key metrics ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management preferred1 years of experience in purchasing/invoicing Excellent verbal and written communication skillsNegotiation skillsHighly organized Able to collaborate with multiple different business unitsCreative and innovative in the areas of streamlining and automating repetitive tasksExperience with MS OfficeAbility to work in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing tasks Additional Skills and Requirements Ability to work independently Ability to think criticallyThis position may require some extended work weeks (more than 40 hours)

Physical Demand

Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time.The person in this position occasionally needs to move about inside of the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.This person frequently communicates with internal customers. Must be able to clearly exchange accurate information. Frequently moves equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.Occasionally lifts and moves equipment up to 50 pounds.
